  1. Reserve Bank of India annually observed Financial Literacy Week (FLW) from 13-17 February, 2023 to create awareness about the importance of financial literacy to address demand side barriers and enable customers to make better financial decisions. The Theme of Financial Literacy Week 2023 is “Good Financial Behaviour, Your Saviour”. 
  2. The first Culture Working Group meet will be held in Madhya Pradesh’s temple town Khajuraho from 22-25 February, 2023.
  3. The Kollam district panchayat won the Swaraj Trophy for the best district panchayat in Kerala for the year 2021-22.
  4. An Indian-American, Neal Mohan will become the next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Alphabet-owned YouTube following Susan Wojcicki’s announcement that she will be stepping down from her role as the head of the video-sharing platform.
  5. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has recently launched a Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) chatbot called ‘Aadhaar Mitra’ to help people get an answer to their queries related to the Aadhaar card. 
  6. Indian Railways on 17 February 2023, launched Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train, ‘Shri Ram-Janki Yatra: Ayodhya to Janakpur’ from Safdarjung Railway Station, Delhi.
  7. Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar has been named as the new Vice Chief of Army Staff, while incumbent Lt Gen B S Raju will take charge as South Western Army Commander.
  8. The ‘Don’t Choose Extinction’ campaign, launched by the UN Development Programme (UNDP) to raise awareness about the climate emergency, has won Gold and Silver in two different categories at the 2nd Annual Anthem Awards.
  9. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched 6th phase of Sujalam-Sufalam Jal Abhiyaan at Khoraj in Gandhinagar on 17 February, 2023.
  10. Public sector Indian Overseas Bank has launched the facility of issuance of e-BG (Electronic Bank Guarantee) scheme in association with the National e-Governance Services Ltd.
  11. India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar unveiled Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s bust in India House in Fiji’s capital Suva on 17 February, 2023.
  12. Saurashtra won Ranji Trophy title 2023 defeating Bengal by 9 wickets at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
  13. The Union Cabinet approved the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the India and Republic of South Africa for cooperation in the ‘disability sector’.
  14. The Spanish Government approved a law granting paid medical leave to women suffering from severe menstrual pain, making Spain the first country in Europe to do so.
  15. At Aero India 2023, Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) has signed an MoU with Israel Aerospace Industries for domestic manufacture and supply of its LORA Weapon system for the Indian Tri-services.
  16. The United Arab Emirates and India launched UAE-India Business Council-UAE Chapter (UIBCUC) on 18 February, 2023 to strengthen economic ties and enhance bilateral trade and investment.
